Dear Member,

You are invited to an ideas generation workshop on the night of Thursday 27 September 2018  (6.45pm – 10.00pm) in the Club. The purpose of this evening is to get your inputs and ideas into developing and agreeing a future vision for the role of our club in the community.

The objective is  to generate a compelling vision for St Mary’s College RFC.  We want to do it in a collaborative way and open the door for everyone interested. We want to challenge existing assumptions, look at key trends and craft a clear way forward. Your inputs and ideas are essential to formulating any vision or any plans for the future. The  agenda will develop from those present.

This ideas workshop will be kindly facilitated by Barre Fitzpatrick of Stride which is a consultancy firm with a track record in Strategy Formulation, Innovation and Creativity. His clients have included Aer Lingus, RDS, Coca Cola, Intel, Danone and Mars to name just a few.

We are attempting to imagine what our club can be in the future while continuing to keep alive the core values of  St Mary’s College RFC, values which bind us together.

How the evening will be run is important. To facilitate creative thinking, storytelling and participation we will use Round Tables, Facilitated Groups, Creativity Techniques, etc. Fifteen  members volunteered to assist in the facilitation of this process and attended a number of training days to find out what is involved.

There will be every opportunity to have your say in our future with the Executive Committee taking a back seat to facilitate a ground-up input by all.

We expect huge interest in this event and  ask that you confirm your interest soonest to Marie Hammond (mhammond@smcrfc.com or 01 4900440) if you are going to attend
